What’s a moment when a stranger completely restored your faith in people?
I was part of Americorps, where I would volunteer at an organization (Tucson Shalom House) and get paid through Americorps. It was president Bill Clinton’s initiative to get the country doing community service projects. It was a pretty good program. I had to do around 1500 hours in the program, to receive a 5 thousand dollar ed award. So, it was totally worth the time and trouble. Anyways, when, I was at a meeting, the summer heat was getting to me and I was very thirsty. So, this complete stranger gave me a bottle of water, so at this time. It restored my faith in people. Thank you for reading. Have a good night.
wow that’s an awesome program. i wonder if it’s still around…
