If you could change the ending of any book, which one would it be?
Flowers for Algernon is a book by Daniel Keyes. I read the book a long time ago. It follows a man with a low IQ named Charlie. He has an experiential surgery and becomes a genius. He watches a mouse named Algernon, who underwent the same surgery as he did. He watches the mouse’s intelligence regress, which eventually his intelligence regresses also. I would make it so he is always a genius. Thank you for reading. Have a great night.
Hi! I’m a regular reader of your blog and really enjoy your detailed non-fiction and history reviews. I’m 15 years independent author and recently self-published a data-backed research book titled “Dwarka: The Lost City of Krishna (Part 1)”, focusing on marine archaeology, sonar data, and sea-level shifts.
I’d love to gift you a free review copy (ePub/PDF) for your blog if you are currently accepting submissions. Could you let me know the best email address to send the file to, or if I should use your contact page? Thank you so much!
I just referenced this book last night, driving a client through a maze-like neighborhood and she was impressed I didn’t use GPS. I said “just call me Algernon” in truth I don’t remember the book, or most routes— I just know it because i drive there all the time☺️
I remember that book. It’s been so many years since I read it. I like your ending better.
