Night is king

Many people get up in the morning and start their day in the morning. They take a shower, brush their teeth, eat breakfast, get dressed and go to work. I used to be this way, but now.

I work nights so I get up in the afternoon. I eat an apple and a yogurt and drink coffee. I write lyrics for a good amount of time. Then I shower. I get dressed and I do doordash, at sixish in the afternoon, evening, until like twelve. Thank you for reading.

Traumatic brain injury

https://images.app.goo.gl/NrkCzSHAqcxmY3NV6

The whole violent episode of a brain injury makes a person unique. Everyone is different so brain injury are different for everyone. Falls, gun shot wounds, sporting injuries, and car accidents, all can cause brain injuries. Really, anything that causes the head to jolt can cause brain injuries.

What effects one person may not affect another person. Such as a car accident, one person may hit there head on the dash board and the other person may have gotten jolted in their seat. The person who received the jolting maybe in worse shape than the person who hit their head on the dash board. The brain is situated in fluid and when the impact happens the brain hits against the hard skull and causes damage. This is called a contra coup injury where the brain hits the hard skull forward then to the back of the head. Remember everyone is different and experiences trauma different, so it could be they just got startled and they are fine. If not,  they may have to be in rehabilitation to learn to do things they used to do, but in most cases this isn’t the case. Then, if the brain is damaged it will start to swell because it is like other muscles in the body. If you get hit by a hammer in the shoulder it will expand and turn black and blue, until it is healed. You can put ice on it until it heals and whatever the doctor tells you to put on it. The brain on the other hand, it gets hit by the same hammer you can’t just put ice on it. It might swell and when it swells, it has no place to go because of the skull. That is why the doctor cuts out part of the skull so the brain can swell. If this doesn’t happen, you can die because of a hematoma where the brain literally crushes it self, against the skull. So when you have a brain injury, it is important to see a doctor, so they can examine whether you have a brain bleed or not.

When I was in high school I had a focal seizure, which meant I blacked out. I fell on the concrete and my head hit the pavement. Thank goodness I didn’t have a brain bleed, but it was good I went to the hospital anyways, so they could examine me.

In conclusion brain injuries make a person unique because someone can be in the same accident with a person have the same injury, but experience different outcomes. Everyone is so different and their brain is set up differently too. Falls, sporting injuries, car accidents, gun shot wounds, all cause brain injuries and no two injuries are the same. Extremely long ago:

My friend texted me and said I want to name a burger after you. How about Jesse’s burgers. They would have to be very healthy burgers. If I was going to come up with an idea like this because I don’t want to get sued for killing someone with my name sake signature burger.

So the burger would have to be made of soy meat and throw in a little tofu for texture. Then the usual things that are thrown on a burger. The lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese if requested, pickles, maybe some kale and spinach. Now you have a powerhouse burger. So there you have it.

In conclusion-the Jesse’s burger, would be my name sake. Thank you for reading.

Comedians that make me laugh.

https://images.app.goo.gl/HcTDdrhQXgrJrrwp9

Richard Prior, Chris Rock, and Eddie Murphy have to be the funniest guys that ever walked the earth. Maybe throw in Jerry Seinfeld too. Robin Williams was also funny as hell.

Richard Prior Live, always makes me laugh. God rest his soul, but he was funny as hell. Especially in that line where he talks about the Chinese waiter who had a stuttering problem and the other Chinese people in the restaurant were getting frustrated with him. Then they bring him the bill and like all that money for what. You order shit you get shit. Then if you have a problem with the bill, they bring the stuttering mo********er to explain it to you. He’s like take the money before you die. It is a great performance. It is so funny 🤣. He does pain better than anyone. Especially, when he talks about his heart attack from eating too much pork. He is one of the only comedians that can turn a painful event, such as a heart attack and make it funny.

So in conclusion, Richard Prior, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, make me laugh. Eddie Murphy makes me laugh in delirious, when he talks about his father and how he would talk about Aunt Bunny not being able to walk down four steps. She would always fall. How his uncle, would always set the backyard on fire to make a barbecue, now that’s a fire! Just roll little Chily on the ground. Thank you for reading.

The truth about this matter

When I was a nibbling, at five years old. My real mom had divorced my real dad for a year or so. So, I was staying with my grandparents in Ariavipa AZ. I was going to Kearny Elementary and I didn’t know what was going on. I had not seen my mom or my dad in some time because my mom had gone to Tucson AZ to try to make something out of nothing. My real father was in Pensacola FL, where my mom left him. My older sister was with me, but she was always unavailable.

So thinking of a career took a backseat to being pushed into this life of uncertainty. I was more in survival mode than anything. I remember coloring this picture completely black from the start of the page, to the end that was how depressed I was, from being torn away from my parents. Then, when I was at my Aunt Ida’s house. My mom came running up to my sister and I and said she was taking us to Tucson. We went there and I enrolled in Reynolds elementary  and then I wanted to be a director. Well shit happens and life throws me a curve ball and that is where I am today, picking up the pieces of a broken life. Thank you for reading.

Blows my mind

This is a picture of Tucson’s street. It is pretty grim.

Well what I didn’t know is that we are the third deadliest  metro in the United States for pedestrians. There have been 70% of Tucson’s pedestrian deaths in the last decade, have happened in the last five years. There has been 32 fatalities in counting this year already. That is a lot.

I can’t tell you how many times I have almost hit someone in the roadway. It is scary. People cross the street without being in a crosswalk all the time. Sometimes, they don’t look and that is how they get hit by drivers.

In conclusion- pedestrian deaths have climbed rapidly in Tucson. Already, we have had 32 deaths and the year is far from over. Hopefully, people will be more cautious. I don’t know if the pandemic has something to do with it, but that is when it started getting bad. I think it is more carelessness. Memphis and Albuquerque are number 1 and 2 for the deadliest metro for pedestrians. Thank you for reading.

My job is techy-

A lot of us have jobs in the tech field. These days everyone does things such as, typing up reports to doing complex things on computers and making computers, smart phones, and making just about anything.

My job at doordash is techy. Sometimes, it blows my mind how a smartphone can tell me to go to a restaurant for a customer, pickup their items and deliver the food or other items, to their house. It is dumbfounding how far we have come. Thank you for reading.

Say no to salad and pizza

Sometimes, saying no is good, sometimes it is bad, especially when you are going to eat salad and pizza. Sometimes, just saying no will hurt someone so I don’t push the no button very quickly. When, I am drained and don’t want a fight, I give in. Most of my goals are something I have to contend with. They have nothing to do with other people’s agenda. We have to eat so I just give in to food and think of my goals and say, there is always tomorrow. I procrastinate, but when it finally comes down to the nitty gritty, I will go out and get what I need. Food can’t wait because we are always hungry so I give to people wanting to go here and there, but I try to make time for my goals to flourish, such as writing lyrics and practicing drums and singing lyrics a little. As long as I can stay on top of the creative part of my goal. I am doing fine. I have to practice every day, to bury the anger I feel for this injury. So playing music is my goal. There is nothing interfering with this not even salad and pizza, just saying. The goal is still pretty alive. Thank you for reading.

A real tangent

Finding the hidden path that was lost so many years. These days, are filled with me in my head time. It is time to think of a better way to do things. Or do I keep hitting my head against a wall and go back to the same way of doing things? Whatever I choose hopefully it will be for the best. I have plenty of time to think things out, and try to make something happen out of nothing.

Well, when I was younger I never would’ve guessed I would be walking with a gimp and my left arm paralyzed. My left arm is my dominant arm, which sucks, but life happens now I need to pick up the pieces of this life and make it work somehow. Hopefully, God will show me the way because I am at a loss at what to do. Hopefully the universe will open and boom it will happen for me. Thank you for reading.

Thrive at night

Nighttime is mostly when I am awake. Don’t get me wrong, I do like some of the daylight times, but in Tucson, it is likely too bright or too hot during the daytime. So that is why I thrive in the nighttime. When the temperature outside is cooler, it is around 70 degrees.

Now, in the winter, it is a lot colder, such as 30 to 50 degrees, even in the teens sometimes, which is way too cold. I usually don’t go out when it is really cold, especially when there is wind eeek.

But. In that picture, taken in the fall. It was perfect weather, 70 to 80 degrees. That is perfect  weather for me. I thrive in that weather. Thank you for reading.
