Special skill not so much

Ever since, my injury of being shot in the head, I have not been good at math. I tried, but in college, I only got as far as College Algebra and that is it. The special skill I want is being good at math. If I was good at math. I could be an engineer, which would be cool.
I like to read and write so I guess I could do something with these skills. Thank you for reading. Have a great night.
