I am scared for people in the United States:

See the government is shut down, which means that Congress needs to fund the government. The Democrats want the Republicans to restore Medicaid and other health subsidies, so that medical care doesn’t rise for hard working Americans, but Republicans don’t want to do this.  So the government remains shut down. While, Snap benefits, which feed hungry Americans are not going to be funded for the month of November. This is a real tragedy because people will go hungry because of this. Roughly, 41. 07 million people rely on Snap benefits to put food on the table. That’s a lot of people. Countless federal workers have been laid off or furloughed, or have to go without a pay check. It is terrible.The military is going to go without a payment. A donor paid for the military to get paid for a little while, but the money will run out on November 15th. That alone is a tragedy.

While again, Trump is building a 300 million dollar ball room onto the White House. I know he is using private money and his money to build the addition, but you would think he would care about the American people and fund Snap benefits, the military, and federal workers. I guess Trump only thinks about Trump, so he will not do this. Thank heavens, I don’t have Snap benefits because the month of November. I would get zero benefits. I just feel sorry for the millions of people who rely on the government for Snap benefits, the military, and federal workers. I really think the Democrats need to do some serious compromising, so that Congress can fund the government and everything goes back to normal with everyone getting what they need from the government, whether it be Snap benefits or a paycheck. The Democrats won’t get everything they want , so just to get enough so the government can be funded again. The Republicans need to be reasonable too. I think if they work together on this concern. They can have the government open in no time, but no one is coming to the table, while the American people suffer because of this. This is so sad. It is close to a depression for us. Hopefully, the problem can be rectified soon. Thank you for reading. Have a great night.
