When I was a boy-

I watched a scary movie-

About wolves eating people-

Then I went to bed-

Couldn’t sleep but few hours-

So I got up and roamed, roamed the hall-

While my parents and my sisters-

Sleep, I roamed the hall-

Up and down the hallway-

Slept at my parents feet-

I’m having a night terror-

I’m having a night terror-

I can’t sleep, thinking of wolves eating people-

Next night, I couldn’t sleep-

Thinking about wolves-

Jumping through my bedroom window –

So I got up and roamed, roamed  the hallway-

Up and down the hallway-

Looking through my parents-

Bedroom window, I saw a ghost-

In the backyard, it was dressed in white-

With a cowboy hat, with a hatchet-

It was cutting down-

Branches from the tree-

Chop chop chop is all I heard chop chop-

To scared to scream-

I fell asleep at my parents feet-

I’m having a night terror-

I can’t sleep thinking about wolves-

Jumping through my bedroom window-

I can’t sleep, all I hear is chop chop chop-

I’m having a night terror-

Next day, I went into the backyard-

Looked up at that tree-

Saw the chop marks on the tree-

So I ran inside and screamed oahhhgh-

I’m having a night terror-

I can’t sleep, thinking about wolves-

Jumping through my bedroom window-

I’m having a night terror- chop chop chop-

Is all I hear –

      3. Eight is very young to see that movie. I was older so not as bad. I was probably eight or nine, though, when the TV show Kolchak: The Night Stalker came out and I got to watch. I still remember scenes from it when I’m alone at night. Great show, not for kids.
