Many times

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

Introduction-in this blog, I will discuss performing on stage and giving a speech.

I have performed on stage playing shaker with a group of people known as Widows Hill. We performed at sky bar in Tucson and a few other places around 2009.

I played drums with a band called the Hugger Whales around the same time. We did multiple gigs in South Tucson. I would sing a song about cars tailgating me called fudge packer. It was great fun.

I also sang and played shaker at open mics at Sky bar, Maker House, and a few other places. It was a long time ago, before COVID-19 hit. I had a couple of gigs with some people. It was a good time. Hopefully, I will be able to get more.

In college,I used to give speeches to the class around social issues such as domestic violence.

I also gave speeches about my head injury and just told the audience what had happened to me. I was part of a group called the advocacy group and we would give speeches around town about our head injuries. Some people in the group had sustained car accident head injuries. One lady sustained an Anoxic injury. One man had received his head injury at an Oakland Raiders game.

In conclusion-I performed on stage with the shaker with a band named Widows Hill. I played drums and sang a song called fudge packer about cars tailgating me. We played at bars around south Tucson. They were called The Hugger Whales. I sang and played shaker at many open mics around town. Plus I had a couple gigs that were fun. In college, I gave speeches about social issues, such as substance abuse. I gave plenty of speeches about my head injury. I was part of the advocacy group, in which we would go out into the community and give speeches about our head injuries. Thank you for reading.

Music is for the soul.

If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

Introduction- in this world of ever changing landscapes, what would I do with the extra time if I didn’t need to sleep? As it is right now due to my injury I get between 8 and 9 hours of sleep a night, but if I didn’t need to sleep.

I would play more music every day. I would play my drums and sing more. I would probably be able to write more too. Writing is a great escape for me from my real life. So I would probably spend a good chunk of time writing.

Then I would have more time to explore going to open mics and play the music I wrote. I would also have more time to get the songs in my head. I would not have to go up there with a pad of paper and read the lyrics off the pad of paper.

In conclusion-I would play music, which consists of my drums and me singing. Then I would spend a good chunk, writing lyrics or just writing period. Then I would be able to explore going to open mics more, which is where I can sing and play shaker for a crowd of people. They are always a good time. Thank you for reading.
