This blog is about fears I overcome and how? I think of the future a lot and I get anxious about it because of the injury I live with (shot in the head). It never gets easier. Sometimes I want to spend all day in bed, but I know I can’t because I have to work to live. So I motivate myself by drinking a lot of caffeine and water and only think about today, because tomorrow is yet to be lived. The future can wait for another day. Thank you for reading.
Describe one simple thing you do that brings joy to your life.
In this blog, I will discuss one thing that I do that brings joy to my life. Lots of people have different things that bring joy to their life. It may be their job, a pet, or their children. Whatever it is it makes people’s lives worth living because it brings joy to their lives.
What brings joy to my life is playing music. Either writing lyrics, playing drums, shaker, or singing. All of it brings me joy. I write and play drums every day because it brings me joy. Thank you for reading.
How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?
In this blog, I will discuss how I know when it is time to unplug and what I do to make it happen? People have all kinds of ways of knowing when it is time to unplug. A big piece is when I get tired and my eyes are hurting from looking at a screen. So I unplug and write in my notebook or maybe I go to sleep. Or else, I will read a book to give my eyes a rest from screens. Thank you for reading.
In this blog, I will go over what I value most in a friend. Since, I am disabled (walk with a limp and have a bum left-arm from being shot in the head), I value understanding and empathy, being able to put yourself in my shoes. Some people don’t want a disabled friend and that is fine, but if they are going to be a friend please have understanding and empathy. Thank you for reading.
In this blog, I will go over what jobs I have had? My current job is Doordash which is a delivery job, in which I take food and other items to people from restaurants and businesses.
Next one was a driving job for a friend which she paid me to drive to places.
Then there was the teachers aid job, in which I assisted a special ed teacher teach a class of students with disabilities.
Then there was New Beginning which is a homeless shelter for women and children. I would spend time with the children doing different activities.
Then there was Americorps, in which I would volunteer in the community and get paid through Americorps. I worked with children at the Tucson Shalom House. Also, I did the Youth Volunteer Corps, which we got teens interested in volunteering and community service.
My last job, was working at the Blake Foundation doing basic janitorial work, cleaning mats, washing dishes, sweeping, and cleaning equipment.
In conclusion- I work currently for Doordash. I drove a friend around town. I was a teacher’s aide for children with special needs. Then I worked at New Beginnings working with the youth. Then I worked as an Americorps volunteer. My last job was doing janitorial work for the Blake Foundation. Thank you for reading.
In this blog I will discuss whether I practice religion. Many people from all over the world practice religion. There are a lot of different religions in the world and many people believe in them.
I practice the Catholic religion. I do not go to church regularly because of the sexual abuse of children by the priests. I cannot support that. It is wrong.
Instead, I pray the rosary and ask God to bless me and my family and friends. I pray the rosary every day. The rosary seems to work at making me happier than not praying the rosary. Believing in God makes me a more well adjusted adult.
In conclusion- I don’t go to church, but I pray the rosary every day. Thank you for reading.
In the years I grew up, I didn’t grow up with the internet. We all played outside, either playing games like kick the can, tag, or basketball or football. Back then, we were really into sports and running around. My cousins and I would spend a great deal of time outside, doing activities outside. It was a simpler time back then without all this technology.
90’s
I graduated from high school in the 90’s and when I graduated we still didn’t have Internet. We had to rely on libraries and books to do research and had to rely on the librarian to sometimes find books. If we did not know the dewy system or the card system. It took longer to find the book you wanted but it worked somehow. We would have to read books instead of staring at the screen. It was a different time. Now information is at your fingertips anything you want to know, you can get instantaneously. Back then, we relied on books.
Cellphone
The first cellphone I had did not have Internet. It was a Nokia and I still have it. It is old.
This is my first cellphone back in the early 2000s.
Final thoughts, back before the internet in the 80s and 90s, we had to be more creative to stay busy, with sports or going to the library to do research on a specific subject. It was a simpler time, now if you walk into any school or job they expect you to know how to use the internet. We are high tech now and only getting more techy. Thank you for reading.
I am good at playing the shaker. I shake the shaker up and down and side to side. It is the ultimate percussion instrument and I only need one arm to play it. Thank you for reading
What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?
I will discuss what having it all means to me? And is it attainable?
The question goes very deep. The first name that pops into my mind of someone who has it all are numerous actors, such as Samuel Jackson, Robert Deniro and Al Pachino. They have it all, fancy homes, fancy cars, money, women, everything at their feet.
Having it all means, you have wealth in either social means or you have wealth in money. People can have it all without having a lot of money, as long as they are comfortable and have friends or family they can count on. Maybe a good job also, but not necessarily.
Having it all, means different things to different people. Such as, a person who is homeless and gets a place to stay, would possibly consider himself as having it all.
Being grateful for the things you have is important. When that comes into play, you can have it all and it is attainable. Grateful, I have a place to stay, food in my belly, a place to shower and sleep. A job to go to. So having it all is attainable if you are grateful for what you have.
In conclusion, be grateful for what you have and everything will be attainable and you will have it all. Thank you for reading.
Grateful they had on their lights so I could see what I was doing and leave their stuff.
The person I would like to talk to soon is my oldest sister. I have not talked to her in a long time and it is time to reconnect. We lead different lives. She lives in South Tucson and I am in central Tucson. She is busy but I am sure she will talk to me. Thank you for reading.
It has been many moons since I talked to my oldest sister.
