Putting off performing

Last week, I finally got a chance to perform, which is something that is fun that I do. I went to Sky bar open mic on Wednesday. There was a new dj named Dj Chuck who was very nice. I did not drink so I could perform adequately. I will go again some time.

Here is a video of me performing “Her life,” because it is a woman’s life. They shouldn’t let people take there life away. They shouldn’t have to have a child if they don’t want one, but if they do then have one.

This is “her life”

Shot in the head

I complain the most about being shot in the head.  I am disabled because of being shot in the head. My left arm is paralyzed and I walk with a limp. This is a big part of my complaining. Also, that I did not get any justice from the cousin that shot me in the head. He has not paid me a cent for my suffering. He didn’t go to jail for what he did to me. Now, if he shot me in the head. He would go to jail, but back then, no such luck. It happened a long time ago, but the effects are still with me. So I complain a lot about the Statute of Limitations, which basically states, that I can’t sue him after a certain amount of time passes. This law is bologna. I should be able to sue him if he took away my dominant left arm. This law needs to be changed because there is no justice no peace with it.

Don’t get me wrong I complain about other things, such as inflation, high rents, traffic, signs in the road. The cold and when it rains really hard. So I do a bit of complaining, but I am grateful that I have a roof over my head and food in my belly and for the most part, can pay my bills. Thank you for reading.

Somewhere under the moon, there is justice for me.

Lottery win baby!

The lottery is very hard and very challenging to win. It takes a lot of luck to win and a lot of trial and error to win. If I was fortunate to win. I would first not tell a soul I won, for a couple months and tuck the winning ticket away safely. Then, I would retrieve the winning ticket after a couple months passed by and cash it in, but remain anonymous. I would go for the lump sum because I could die the next day. So the annuity doesn’t make sense.

Once, I had the money I would pay off my debt. Then, I would buy my sister a home and a car, plus give her money. I would also give some money to my aunt Gracie and Uncle Frankie. Then, I would put some money into my music and hope it would go somewhere. I would give some money to the charities. Then, I would just be able to live stress free, knowing I have the funds to have some fun now. I would probably plan trips to New York or Los Angeles, sit-in on open mics there. Thank you for reading.

Books I would like to read, are a lot, if I was a faster reader. Due to the injury (shot in the head), I don’t read fast because my left eye doesn’t go across words as fast, but with practice, it is getting better.

First off, I would like to finish “Around the next corner,”  by Elizabeth Wrenn, before not too long. With work, I don’t get a lot of time to read, but a few pages here and there. I should be done with this book by summer. It is about a woman, Deena who is a stay at home mom, whose husband works at a clinic and their two kids go to school. I think high school. Well, Deena has a cat she has roaming around the house. One day she gets a fantastic idea to get a dog. Now this dog is not your normal dog. She gets the dog from some sort of special club. The man who gave her the dog, needs the dog back in a year because it is going to be a blind seeing dog, so she has to train the dog from a puppy to listen to commands and be proper as a blind seeing dog. I am in the middle of the book, so we will see where it goes.

After I am finished with that book, I would like to read “Point Omega,” by Don Delillo. I read a few pages and I guess it is about this guy who wants to make a movie out of another man’s life. It seems interesting. I will let you know about it. Thank you for reading.

Typical traditions

Like most Hispanic families we made menudo and tacos on Christmas and ate beans and tortillas whenever it was possible. My mom made tamales and tortillas and also enchiladas. She also made antipasta salad for the family.

Besides that, my parents worked a lot so we were latchkey kids. That means, when we got home from school there was not anyone home. We were forced to survive on our own. My parents would come home late or sometimes stay in other cities because they were promoters of concerts, such as Kool and the gang, Midnight Star, Zapp, and Rick James and other groups. So they would work on doing concerts with the bands above. It was fun to go see the concerts, especially if they were here in Southern Arizona.

We had traditions no different from other American families. We celebrated thanksgiving and Christmas like the rest of the people in the country. We would celebrate birthdays. One year, for my tenth birthday we had invited Gary the Dj over so he could play music, while all the kids, including me would break dance on a piece of cardboard. It was a great time. Besides that, we were typical, except my parents didn’t put us in extra curriculum activities, such as sports, but in Jr. High school. I was in band and was a percussionist. I played a bass drum and a snare drum. This is where I developed my love of music. Thank you for reading.

Leisure time isn’t what it used to be-

These days, I have to schedule time for myself, because throughout the week I am always on Doordash. So time to myself is important, whether it is sleeping or writing, or playing music quietly. Whatever I do in my free time, it is important for my mental health.

I think everyone should have time during the day to do something they enjoy, such as gardening, writing, or whatever you do in your free time, make sure you enjoy the time with yourself.

My favorite leisure time activity is playing music, but I also enjoy writing on Jetpack and writing lyrics. Thank you for reading.

Places to go!

One place I would like to go is Dave & Busters to play arcade games. I would like to play skee ball, Lost world ie Juristic Park game, where I could shoot a gun at a Tyransauris Rex. I would have to aim the gun at the Tyransauris Rex’s mouth, or stomach to kill it. It is hard to kill. I have heard. I could win tickets for prizes, such as bears, monkeys, or hippoes. I could go there and eat pizza, wings, and enjoy the music and the lights. Maybe even go there and play Pac Man or Galaga. It all sounds fun. Well first bills then think about going to Dave & Busters. Thank you for reading.

Somewhere under the brightly lit moon Dave & Busters exists.

Five things I do for fun-

  1. Play music- especially the shaker and sing and the drum set too. This is pure enjoyment.
  2. I write lyrics. This is how I get the lyrics that I sing. I write them out over and over. I also love to write on Jetpack.
  3. I love to hang out with my sister. She is cool. We eat together and talk to one another.
  4. I love to sleep, sleeping is great.
  5. I love to eat salads.
  6. Thank you for reading.

Darcy is my pet!

She is the best pet. She doesn’t bite anyone or make noise unless I play her. She is there at my apartment, waiting for me to play her. One thing I would like her to know is that; even though I can’t hit her directly because I live in an apartment. I would love to play her fully, one of these days. She is the best pet. She will not poop on the ground. She is always up to playing. She is my lovely drum set. Thank you for reading.
