What does it mean to be a kid at heart?

To be a kid at heart means acting and thinking like a kid. Also, it is being curious about the world and getting pleasure from the smaller things in life. It is in liking and doing things that are for young people, such as listening to metal music even though you are fifty or sixty years old. Or going to a club and dancing the whole night, even though you are of an older adult age. Even though, you are old you still feel young and have a lot of energy. So it is in essence, doing and acting young for your age. Thank you for reading.

Three wishes

You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

If I had three genie wishes:

The first wish would be to make me physically normal, where I could use my left arm again and walk without a gimp. Also, I would not forget things so much,. If only I could be how I used to be when I was 12 years old.

Next wish, would be for a billion dollars because then I could do as I please write all I want. I could play music all I want. I would not have to get up and go to work every night, if I had a billion dollars.

Last wish, to be a professional musician, plus a writer, where I would write my own lyrics and make my own songs, which is what I do, is write lyrics. If only, this would happen. Thank you for reading.

The cousin who shot me in the head.

Describe a family member.

Growing up, when I was very young. He was my best friend. We used to do everything together. Watch movies together, go on hikes together, we used to share our deepest secrets with each other. He also got me in trouble a lot. We used to steal mail, steal from stores, start fires, and also start more fires.

Until, that dreaded day. It was a cold windy night. He said, “Point the gun at my head and press the trigger.” I couldn’t do it, so he took the gun away from me and pointed the gun at my head and it went off. We thought the gun was not loaded.

In conclusion- this man is a monster. He never said he was sorry for what he did to me or gave me any money for my pain and suffering. Like I said in another post, he got away with the whole thing. They let him off the hook. I still cannot believe he just got away with something so awful that affects me so profoundly. Thank you for reading.

Crunches, or sit ups

What is your favorite form of physical exercise?

Introduction- almost everyone has their favorite form of physical exercise. In this blog I will discuss my favorite forms of physical exercise.

My first favorite form of exercise are crunches and sit ups because I want to stay slim. So everyday I do crunches and sit ups.

Another form of physical exercise; even though it is an instrument. It is playing the drum set. When I play the drum set I feel relieved and relaxed. Just the physical exertion of hitting a drum or a cymbal, there is something therapeutic about the whole process that makes me feel better. Playing drums can be very physical because I use my whole body, hitting the drum set with a drumstick and tapping the bass drum pedal with my foot. It is good exercise.

A crusade

How much would you pay to go to the moon?

Introduction- a lot of people want to go to the moon, so it can be pretty pricey. In this blog, I will discuss how much I would pay to go to the moon.

I would probably wait to go to the moon because any figure I would throw out would be way below what is expected. I am the type of person who waits until a lot of people have experienced the attraction, like the moon. Then maybe I would get a good deal to go to the moon. I would say maybe $1000 to go to the moon. I would have to save up to go,

I know Jeff Bezos was offering to go to the moon and it would cost 22 million dollars. I don’t have that much money so I would have to wait a long time before I received my chance to go to the moon. I am fine being here on earth so I am not in a hurry to go to the moon because of the cost.

In conclusion- lots of people want to go to the moon. I would wait until all those people received their chance to go to the moon. Then I would go and maybe get to go on a discount or cheaper than most. I would probably spend a thousand dollars to go, but I would have to save up to go. Also Jeff Bezos was offering to go to the moon for 22 million and that is too much so I would wait until prices go down. Thank you for reading.

I would like to explore

What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

Introduction-many people have different career paths. They can even change careers if they find something they like more. In this blog, I am going to talk about different career paths that I am interested in.

If, I could go back to college, I would want to be a teacher and teach children with disabilities. I think I would make a good teacher because I am patient and a good listener and I would get things done for them. I have been a teacher’s aide so I know what to do with the students,. The only difficulty, would be typing out the Individual educational plan, because every child with a disability needs one. It is basically based on the strengths of the child and what the child wants to accomplish in school.

In conclusion- many people have different career paths. They can change careers, if they find something they enjoy more. If I could change career paths, I would want to be a teacher and teach children with disabilities. Thank you for reading.

Food glorious food

What food would you say is your specialty?

Introduction- many people have a specialty food that they cook or that they prepare. Some specialty foods may be Indian, Italian, or even American food, such as barbeque or even burgers. Today we will go over my specialty food, that I have been making for a long time.

The food that is my specialty is salads. I know I cannot cook them, but I sure know how to prepare them. I go to a store such as Sprouts, or Trader Joe’s and buy the ingredients and just prepare them. I first get Romaine lettuce and put it on the plate. Then I get carrots and tomatoes next. Then some spinach and kale and also purple cabbage. Then top it off with broccoli and cauliflower. Then squeeze some lemon and lime on the salad and then I eat it and enjoy.

In conclusion- many people have specialty food that they cook or prepare, such as Italian, Indian, or American food. My specialty food is salads. I have been making salads for a long time with the ingredients that are in the above paragraph. Thank you for reading.

Two historical events come to mind.

What major historical events do you remember?

The major historical events that I remember? The first one is 9/11 On September 9, 2001 A man named Bin Laden planned an attack on US soil, where he abolished the twin towers in New York City, by ramming planes into the building. The worst attack on US soil. It killed 2,996 people and all that time I was thinking there were going to be other attacks, but thank God there were no other attacks. It was so horrible people were jumping out of the windows to only fall to their deaths. All that time, I was thinking about their poor families who expected them home, but no one came home, that is so sad. That day, I was in college so I saw the news at ASU the school of social work. I also went and saw my friend because I did not know if this was going to be the last time I would see him. They said on the news, there could possibly be more attacks, but there was not another one.

The other historical event was COVID-19 in 2020. I remember the day clearly because I was out delivering food to people and the police stopped my sister and I from going downtown because there were riots there the night before. It was tragic because all of us had to wear masks when we went to stores, movie theaters, or whenever you were in close contact with another person. The reason is for safety, if someone coughed on you, you would get sick and you don’t want COVID-19. You could die. So now life is better, due to the vaccines. They saved us from wearing masks all the time. Thank you for reading.

Risk for music

What’s the biggest risk you’d like to take — but haven’t been able to?

Introduction- many people are in a position of taking a big risk, but have not done it yet, for a number of reasons. They need to get prepared to do the risk, or they do not have the time to take the big risk. Whatever the reason here is the biggest risk I would like to take, but have not been able to do yet.

I would like to play some gigs at bars and clubs singing and playing the shaker. I have done a little gigging in Tucson, but it was before COVID-19 hit. I would start out slowly just going to open mics, and see if there is any interest in getting a band going, then we can start gigging around Tucson. Open mics are at bars that have a special night where musicians have a chance to perform in front of a crowd, usually for about fifteen minutes and then the next performer comes up. There is usually no money for the performance and if you are good, the bar can ask you to come back and gig there, but that has not happened to me.

In conclusion- people are in a position to take a big risk, but have not done it yet, for a number of reasons. They have to do preparation for the big risk or they don’t have enough time to do the big risk. Whatever the reason, my big risk is to get a band together and start gigging. Thank you for reading.

Proud beyond belief

What are you most proud of in your life?

Introduction- people are proud of all kinds of things, such as educational achievements, having a good job, having a family that loves them, or being alive.

I am most proud of living on my own and not having to rely on my family for support. I pay my own bills, groceries, pay my rent and utilities. I am most proud of being independent. Even though I am disabled I can still be independent and have a place to call my own.

I am also proud of having a sister in my life to help me with cleaning and preparing food for me and helping with my job doordash. She is great.

I am also proud of having a job like doordash, that I have the freedom to work when I want to work. It is great.

In conclusion, people are proud of all kinds of things, such as educational achievements, family, and a good job. I am proud that I am independent and pay my own bills and have an apartment to come home to. I am also proud of having a sister in my life and also having a flexible job like doordash.
