What’s the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make? Why?

Introduction-today I am going to talk about the hardest decision I have ever had to make.

Well at the time, I thought it would be an easy decision. I would just go with my cousin down to the river, shoot guns up in the air and go back to his house. I was not anticipating getting shot in the head.

This has left me with a permanent injury to my left arm and I walk with a gimp. My left eye is messed up and I have a brain injury, so that was the hardest decision I have ever made. Didn’t know that the cousin would shoot me in the head, then of course since I was in a coma he lied and said I shot myself in the head. He got away with shooting me in the head. The parents didn’t want to press charges, which they should have. He was family, but that was no excuse, He should have gone to juvenile.

It happened a long time ago, but I still have injuries to my brain and body. No justice no peace. It is hard not to think about it because it limits everything I can do.

In conclusion- the hardest decision I ever had to make was going down to the river with the cousin. I didn’t know at the time, but it really turned my world upside down because now I am injured. Take care of yourselves and thank you for reading.

Special dishes for the holidays

Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

Introduction-today I will discuss special dishes we make for the holidays.

Well, it is not a tradition but my family usually makes tamales around Christmas time. They are red corn tamales. They are very good.

One year they threw together a turkey with mashed potatoes , gravy and stuffing. My older sister makes a killer pineapple upside down cake 🍰 that is excellent. She will probably make one this Christmas.

If I am lucky enough my younger sister will make curry with rice, garlic, chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, and tomatoes and some other ingredients. She makes them really good because she doesn’t put any salt in the curry, so it comes out great.

In conclusion-I went over my family’s favorite dishes to make around the holidays, which includes tamales, turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy and stuffing. My older sister will probably make a pineapple upside down cake, or she will make an ambrosia salad. My younger sister will make curry, if I am lucky. Thank you for reading.

Music is for the soul.

If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

Introduction- in this world of ever changing landscapes, what would I do with the extra time if I didn’t need to sleep? As it is right now due to my injury I get between 8 and 9 hours of sleep a night, but if I didn’t need to sleep.

I would play more music every day. I would play my drums and sing more. I would probably be able to write more too. Writing is a great escape for me from my real life. So I would probably spend a good chunk of time writing.

Then I would have more time to explore going to open mics and play the music I wrote. I would also have more time to get the songs in my head. I would not have to go up there with a pad of paper and read the lyrics off the pad of paper.

In conclusion-I would play music, which consists of my drums and me singing. Then I would spend a good chunk, writing lyrics or just writing period. Then I would be able to explore going to open mics more, which is where I can sing and play shaker for a crowd of people. They are always a good time. Thank you for reading.

3 annoying things

Name your top three pet peeves.

Introduction- in this blog, I am going to discuss my top three pet peeves. They are especially annoying because of the head injury I sustained when I was younger.

The first one is when dogs bark, especially when I have to use the bathroom. I cannot pee when dogs bark. I suffer from background noise problems because of being shot in the head. I need to concentrate when I pee. It is weird I know. I can go to the bathroom when babies are crying or listening to music, but when dogs bark my pee stops going. Dogs in this neighborhood know that and always bark so I put on music or a fan then I go. I guess it is because these are constant sounds. A dog barking is very sporadic so when it happens I stop peeing.

Another one is every Thursday or Friday this guy comes to my apartment and uses a blower on the concrete and he does it early in the morning and it is loud. It interrupts me from listening to music or watching a program on my smartphone because for some reason it interferes with the frequency of the smartphone. So, I just have to wait until he is done blowing the concrete with the blower.

Last one, birds singing. I know they sing very pretty but when I try to pee when they are singing I cannot go. It is annoying so I go in the bathroom and turn on the fan and then I can go. Again because of the consistent sound I can go. Birds sing very sporadically, which is the problem I have with them. Don’t get me wrong, I like birds doing their mating calls, just not when I have to use the bathroom.

In conclusion- my three top pet peeves are dogs barking, the blower at my apartment, and birds singing. Thank you for reading.

Favorite people

Who are your current most favorite people?

Introduction- today I will blog about my favorite people, some are people I know in real life. Some are people that I listen to on YouTube.

My sister- she is one of my favorite people in this whole world. We have been through a lot together and life would not be complete without her. She is my youngest sister so we are usually goofy together but I love her to the moon and back. She does a lot for me without questioning me. She is awesome.

Aunt Gracie and her family are fantastic people. They help me out and supports me when I am feeling down. My aunt Gracie has been a big hero of mine because I would like to be a teacher and she is already one. So her and her family are fantastic.

My brother Christian is awesome also. He has helped me out tremendously by moving me and doing doordash with me. He is great also.

My older sister is great. She’s always there to be a listening person and provides some advice to me. She is pretty cool.

My nephews and nieces, Kristi, Nick, Genisa, and Joshua. They provide a lot of love and support to me. They are great.

My friends such as Engel, Rich, Tara, Scott,Dave and Matt They have been a tremendous support system for me, which is awesome. I sometimes go and play at open mics with them and we play music together. It is cool.

When I am feeling down I put on music by Pantera or Lamb of God especially Redneck and I feel instantaneously better. So those bands are some of my favorite bands and people. I would not look them up, if you do not like heavy metal music but there’s something about the singer screaming that makes me feel better.

In conclusion- these people are my favorite people that I do things with and associate with. These people make my life a lot happier. my sister, my aunt Gracie and family, my brother Christian, my older sister nieces and nephews. My friends Engel, Rich, Tara, Scott, Dave, and Mat and my music Pantera and Lamb of God. All these people make my life worth living. Thank you for reading.

Tortoises and the like

What are your favorite animals?

Introduction- in this blog I will discuss with you about what my favorite animals are. I don’t have any of these animals, but I used to have a tortoise named Precila. She was a lot of fun. She used to eat the same foods I eat today, a lot of lettuce.

So tortoises are one of my favorite animals. They are slow like me and they eat the same foods as me. They are quiet also which is good. Tortoises are easy going so there is not a lot you have to do with them. In Tucson, I read an article on Tucsonnewsnow.com that a man took his giant tortoise for walks by downtown. That is cool.

Another one of my favorite animals are rabbits because of their floppy ears and they are too cute also. They are fast so you need to confine them or they will get out of your house or yard. Definitely, you will have to get a cage for them.

Iguanas are cool too. I have never owned an iguana, but I bet it would be cool to own one. Again, they are fast so I bet you will need a cage for them. So me and fast animals don’t go together because it will just escape. So I will admire it from afar.

Another favorite animal are cats. I grew up with cats so they are cute also. The way they meow when they want something. My family and I were at the kitchen table and my father’s girlfriend had a cat named Sissy. She wanted attention so she put her head in a plastic cup and flung it to the ground. That got our attention.

In conclusion-I like tortoises, rabbits, iguanas, and cats. Thank you for reading.

Beach for me

Beach or mountains? Which do you prefer? Why?

Introduction- in this blog I am going to discuss what I prefer, the beach or the mountains and why I think that way.

The mountains are nice if you want to get into nature and listen to all the animals there and take hikes and also, go hunting. It is especially nice if you can afford to rent a cabin or if you have a cabin in the mountains. It is glorious because you’re right in the dab of the wilderness and hopefully you can get away from the city and just be one with nature, or even a tent. If there are not too many bugs where you set it up at. It can be fun too.

The beach is better because of the sandy beaches, the sound of the waves hitting the coastline. Going into the beach and cooling off on a hot day, there is nothing better than that. Playing volleyball with friends is cool too or making sand castles is awesome. So the beach wins for its overall cooling effect on a hot summer day or spring day. Or just going to the beach to put your feet in the water and sip on a margarita, that is a great feeling too. The smell of the beach is amazing too.

In conclusion-I like the beach more than the mountains because of its overall cooling effect on a hot summer day. Maybe, just thinking when the water is too cold, such as the late fall or winter the mountains may be more fun because of the snow, and snowball fights. Also, if you like skiing maybe that too. So it is all your preference. Thank you for reading.

3 favorite meals

The top food plate is a salad topped with chicken. It was perfect for the day. The next picture below is Tikka Masala served with rice and some non bread, which was delicious. The picture below is a picture of my all time favorite food Salad.

What are your family’s top 3 favorite meals?

Introduction-I will discuss with you my family’s top 3 favorite meals. I eat very healthy because I am disabled and do not want other problems, such as diabetes, cancer, even though I cannot stop the inevitable. I can sure delay it from happening to me sooner. So I eat a salad every day because it helps with digestion.

My first favorite meal is salads. I love salads with broccoli, romaine, cauliflower, tomatoes, spinach, kale, purple cabbage, carrots, sprinkled with lemon and lime juice. This type of salad is the one I eat every day.

My second favorite meal is Food from India. Their curries and potato dishes are very good. Also the Tandori Chicken is awesome too. Tikka Masala is one of my favorite dishes that they make. It is so good. Tikka Masala has to be my second favorite meal.

My third favorite meal is Suchi. Like I said in other posts, Eel is my favorite roll that the Japanese make. Also nigari is very good also. But my favorite meal is the Catapilar roll, which is Eel wrapped with avocado covered with Eel sauce. It is so good.

In conclusion-my top three favorite meals are salad, Tikka Masala, and a Catapilar roll, now that is good eating. Thank you for reading. Happy Thanksgiving.

Historical figure

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

Introduction- Today we are going to discuss, if I could meet a historical figure and why. I am going out on a limb for this one, only the true man himself can stop war.

I would love to meet Jesus Christ because only the son of God himself can stop wars between Israel and Hamas. Also, the other war between Ukraine and Russia. There is a lot of suffering in both wars. Israel has killed up to 11,000 Palestinians, which is horrible. Hopefully the cease fire goes through and gives the people of Palestine time to get out of there. Only if Hamas gives up the hostages though. Hopefully they can work something out, before more people are killed.

If I could meet Jesus Christ, maybe I could convince him to go to Israel and stop the war there. Also, go to Ukraine and stop that war also. But this is wishful thinking. Or maybe I could ask Jesus Christ to meet with the leaders of the countries and discuss a peace treaty so they can stop the wars. A lot of people have died in both wars. It needs to stop.

In conclusion- the historical figure I would like to meet is Jesus Christ, so that I could discuss with him how to end the wars, or maybe by his power of grace he can stop the wars and end the killings. Thank you for reading.

Not before, but now yes!

Do you trust your instincts?

Introduction- in today’s blog, I will talk about whether I trust my instincts. Instincts usually come to me as voices popping into my head. They tell me to do something before I do something else and the something else, always gets me in trouble.

So yes I listen and trust my instincts all the time now. I have gotten into trouble not listening to my instincts. I definitely trust my instincts now.

The injury I suffered from being shot in the head was a result of not listening or trusting my instincts. If I had listened to that little voice saying not to go down to the river, I would have not gotten shot in the head. I really wish back then I knew about “What if,” abstract thinking because if I did, I would have put two and two together and figured out that he was going to shoot me in the head. My dad at the time wished I would have been a little older and probably I would not have gone with that jerk down to the river. Yes now I listen and trust my instincts all the time so I don’t have to suffer consequences.

In conclusion-yes I listen and trust my instincts all the time. The time I did not listen to my instincts I got shot in the head. I wait for that little voice telling me not to do something and I do not go or do it anymore. So my instincts keep me out of trouble all the time. Thank you for reading.
