If you could have something named after you, what would it be?
In this blog, if I could have anything named after me. It would have to be a salad. I love salads. Eat sometimes two salads a day. I love lettuce, romaine, spinach, kale, tomatoes, purple cabbage, carrots, and cucumbers. I don’t like the dirt that gets inside the romaine and spinach, so that is why I wash them with lots of water. Once I get all the dirt off, it is great. The salad would be called Jesse’s Salad. In this blog I will go over what makes me laugh. The number one thing that makes me laugh is my sister. She is funny. Especially, when she brings up her friends. My friends are funny too, but her friends are funny.
I like comedians, such as Jerry Seinfeld and Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, and Chris Rock. They are all funny.
Movies also make me laugh such as Planes, train, and Automobiles with John Candy and Steve Martin. Also, Meet the Parents made me laugh with Ben Stiler and Robert Deniro, especially the part where Ben flushed the toilet and blamed it on the cat. They said the cat doesn’t have the oposible thumb.
In conclusion my sister makes me laugh. My friends are funny. Comedians are funny. Lastly, movies make me laugh. Thank you for reading.
When you were five, what did you want to be when you grew up?
In this blog, I will discuss what I wanted to be when I was five , when I grew up? Life was full of possibilities back then. I could have been a lot of things back then. I saw the first Star Wars around the time I was five. I really wanted to be a director. So, I could make a film like Star Wars.
Well life happened, and I never fulfilled that dream, but it was good for a while. Thank you for reading.
This is hard to understand. On one hand, you have president Biden. He is really expensive. There is high inflation. Everything is more, gas, food, housing. Yet he is probably safer than voting for Trump who was a sore loser last election in 2020. He didn’t congratulate Biden for winning, instead he said the election was rigged and he had won. When all the votes were counted again, he had lost.
Trump has multiple cases in courts from saying he has more money than he had to get better loans. To the classify document case, in which he kept secret documents that should have been left at the white house. Also, the insurrection in the capital on January 6th, that killed 4 people. I don’t know how this man is qualified to run for the office of president, with all these cases mounted on him.
The truth is Trump was cheaper than Biden. Gas was around $2 a gallon. With Biden, it is around $3.67. Housing was around $700 a month for rent in my area of the country. Now, with Biden, it is around $960 and more. It is insane how expensive things have gotten. So I guess people are hoping that Trump can bring down those prices, but even I don’t know. So the United States election will be interesting to watch in November 2024 because I don’t even know how it will go. All I know, is that most people care about the border with the United States and Mexico and the economy so it will be a close race I think. So I don’t understand what is at stake for this election. In this blog, I will describe how technology has changed my job. Before, doing a delivery job or any job requiring me to find someone’s house. I used to rely on a paper map. Now everything is on the cell phone. It can direct me to their house with the items they requested.
Without, the mobile or cell phone, I would not be able to do my job at Doordash. So, technology has come a long way. Everything, from getting orders and getting a map to the restaurant and to the customer’s house is all on a cell phone. So without technology, my job would not exist. How often do you say “no” to things that would interfere with your goals?
In this blog, I will go over how often I say no to things that interfere with my goals. See everyone has to make a living at something. We all need money to survive. Or else, we are hurting to live.
Well, I do Doordash way more than I should because of the money I make and I still don’t get ahead. So, I probably should prioritize going to play music once a week at Sky bar because that would be fun and I need a break.
Yet, I keep on doing Doordash for the money because my car will not pay for itself, unless I do Doordash. So, saying no to Doordash and yes to Sky bar to play music is the hardest juggling act I have ever been through.
If I go to Sky bar to play music, it will be free and I have to buy a drink to support the bar. They are usually behind on acts going up and performing so I have to wait a bit. While, all that time passes, I could be on Doordash making money.
One of these days, I will say no to Doordash and yes to playing music at Sky bar. Playing music is my ultimate goal, but getting there is a challenge because of the expensive car.
I have not been to Sky bar in a while because the inflation in this country has gotten way out of control. I mean, I used to go to the grocery store and spend a lot less on food. Also, gas and rents have gone up. So, for now Doordash wins, but as soon as I get caught up on the car payment. I will go back to Sky bar. Thank you for reading.
What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?
In this blog, I will divulge a secret skill or ability I have and one I wish I had. People do extraordinary things, such as singing, playing instruments, becoming doctors or even an architect.
The skill I have is writing lyrics. I have been writing lyrics for a long time. Writing lyrics comes naturally to me. I use the same format for virtually all my lyrics. I do it based on the kiss situation (keep it simple stupid).
I write verse chorus verse chorus middle 8 or bridge. Then last chorus.
Verse is where the meat of the lyric is or the purpose of explaining the lyrics. The chorus is the hook or the part of the lyric that stands out, such as Purple Haze by Jimmie Hendrix. If you ever listened to Purple Haze you can tell that, that is the chorus. The middle 8 or the bridge is a part that is more dramatic to the lyric or song. It is there for the instruments to do something different and for the singer to bring in lyrics that are different. So that is writing lyrics for you. You can put an introduction for the lyrics,but I just like to write the verse first. It is less to remember.
Now the skill I wish I had was playing the guitar because I could write the music to the lyrics I write. I play drums and shaker and sing my lyrics so I guess that will have to work. Playing guitar with one arm would be cool, but for now I will just keep writing lyrics and playing drums.

In this blog, I will discuss my favorite type of weather. I like it around 70 to 80 degrees, with the sun out. Maybe a slight breeze, but not too fast. I like more of a dry heat and not too much humidity. A lot of humidity means I sweat more and I am hairy, so that doesn’t help. I like to wear shorts and around 70 or 80 degrees is perfect shorts weather.
Arizona has the two hottest cities in the summer in the whole United States. Phoenix number 1 and Tucson number 2.
Phoenix which is hotter than heck and Tucson where I am from. In the summer, it reaches temperatures over 100 degrees. That is too hot. That is why I go out when the sun goes down. Then, it is around 90 degrees out, but it is not over a 100 degrees which is burn your butt hot. When it is a hundred degrees out. The car burns me to get in it. That is why I wait until evening to begin working during the summer days. In Tucson, a lot of people are gone because the weather is so hot. But they return in the winter. They are known as snow birds because it is snowing or cold where they are from. But they come here, to Tucson in the winter and go back home in the spring or summer.
We live in a desert so people refer to us as desert rats because we are used to it being very hot outside. Us, desert rats stay here year round.
Yet, in January or February it can get down right freezing outside. Last year on March 1st, 2023 it snowed so it can get cold here. We have very fluctuating weather in Tucson.
In conclusion I like the weather to be , 70 or 80 degrees with the sun out and a little wind, but not too much wind. Thank you for reading.
My most influential teacher was Miss Armenta. She taught algebra at Pima college east campus. Pima is the county that Tucson AZ is in.
Miss Armenta, has a loud voice and when she explained the algebra work to the students and I. It made perfect sense because she used her voice to help other students and I understand exactly what was happening in the problems. If we still didn’t understand the algebra work she would explain it over again until we got the jist of the problems. She was extremely patient with us, the students and I. She would have us do problems on the chalkboard so then, we would really understand the algebra work.
In conclusion, Miss Armenta was the most influential teacher I ever had because when I gave speeches in college,I would try to emulate her and speak clearly and loudly enough so the students would understand what I was saying. Thank you for reading.
In this blog, I will discuss what I wish I could do more everyday. I wish I could play more music,by myself or with people. This part of my life is missing. Once I get the car situation under control and the bill caught up. I will return to music. For now, I just sing and play drums in my apartment quietly.
Another thing I wish I could do is write more on Jetpack. I am so busy during the day that I never have time to just write on Jetpack. I work a lot so that eats up my time. I am never ahead of the car payment. Like I said in other posts, it is expensive.
I have not stopped writing lyrics. I have to do this daily or else I get a headache or get angry. Either one is not good so I write lyrics. I just wish I could play music with others. That would be awesome.
In conclusion- I wish I could play more music with people or by myself in front of a crowd. Also, I wish I could write more on Jetpack. The concern is my expensive car. I have to work to cover the payment. Doordash is not giving me a lot of work these days, so I have to work long hours to make a little bit of money. Also in my area, there are a lot of people who do Doordash, which does not help. I get there little by little. Thank you for reading.
