Principles that define me.

What principles define how you live?

Introduction; in this blog I will be discussing principles and how they define how I live?

First principal, is do unto others that you would do to yourself. This is the golden rule. Christ said this and I live by it for the most part. For example, I would never intentionally hit a person with my car. So I expect others not to do the same to me.

Another one, is to treat others with respect, even if they get on your last nerve, still treat them with respect and kindness. As long as I am being respectful, they cannot say I am being disrespectful.

Another one, do not lie to people. If you do not like people to lie to you then maybe you should not lie to them.

Another one, is to empathize with people. I put myself in others shoes and really try to look at life from their perspective.

Have compassion for people and really try to listen to them and don’t interrupt them, just let them speak freely and just listen to them. This is what I do a lot of.

Here is another one, know your strengths and weaknesses. This is one I have to work at, since now I am disabled and it is hard for me to tell my strengths and weaknesses, but I am getting better at it.

Another one is don’t blame others for something that is your fault. Now I can definitely blame my cousin for shooting me in the head, but I cannot blame him for where I live or what I eat, but you know in a way it is his fault. I would be able to do much more if he had not shot me in the head and made me disabled.

Another one, is to take time to play. Everyday I play my drums. I feel better doing that because I am letting go of the anger in my heart. I am most happy playing my drums.

In conclusion, I went over the principals that define how I live; such as the golden rule “Do unto others that you would do to yourself.” Treat others with respect. Don’t lie to people. Empathize with people. Be compassionate and really listen to people. Know your strengths and weaknesses. Don’t blame others for things that are your fault. Lastly, have fun and play. Thank you for reading.
