The city I would like to visit is Philadelphia Pennsylvania because my real father has family there. I would like to learn more about my Italian roots because my real father was Italian.
I would also like to visit Los Angeles because of the music scene. Someone told me in Los Angeles they have open mics all week, which would be cool to do. It would be fun. Open mics are places musicians go to perform for free and get to display their talent in front of an audience.
If I had the money, maybe New York City. It would be nice to go see the statue of Liberty and maybe go to a play or the theater.
Introduction-in this blog, I am going to talk about one thing I hope that people say about me.
Well, I hope people say that I am a nice and friendly person for the most part. I have gone through a lot in my life, so I hope they say I am resilient.
I hope they say I get jobs done and do it right the first time.
In conclusion that is way more than one, but you get the idea. A nice and friendly person who is resilient and gets jobs done. Thank you for reading.
Tell us about your first day at something — school, work, as a parent, etc.
Introduction-in this blog I will discuss my first day of high school for my senior year because that is all I remember.
Well, It was my senior year of high school. The last year of high school. I was going to Rincon high school. On the first day, I received a tour of the school because I had transferred there from Amphi high school.
The student showed me where the cafeteria was. Where my locker was. Where all my classes were. Then, he just left and I remember being alone a lot on the first day of school at Rincon High School. I remember eating my lunch and some people came over and talked to me so it was not terribly lonely on my first day. I remember the campus was pretty big so my classes were very spread out. They only allowed 4 minutes to get from class to class, or else I was late. I was a slow walker and they knew that. So, they allowed me more time to get to class, so that was a win for me.
I also remember walking home from school and I had refused to take the city bus home. All of a sudden, two city buses passed me by so the next day, I took the city bus home. That is it. Thank you for reading.
Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?
Introduction-in this blog, I will discuss performing on stage and giving a speech.
I have performed on stage playing shaker with a group of people known as Widows Hill. We performed at sky bar in Tucson and a few other places around 2009.
I played drums with a band called the Hugger Whales around the same time. We did multiple gigs in South Tucson. I would sing a song about cars tailgating me called fudge packer. It was great fun.
I also sang and played shaker at open mics at Sky bar, Maker House, and a few other places. It was a long time ago, before COVID-19 hit. I had a couple of gigs with some people. It was a good time. Hopefully, I will be able to get more.
In college,I used to give speeches to the class around social issues such as domestic violence.
I also gave speeches about my head injury and just told the audience what had happened to me. I was part of a group called the advocacy group and we would give speeches around town about our head injuries. Some people in the group had sustained car accident head injuries. One lady sustained an Anoxic injury. One man had received his head injury at an Oakland Raiders game.
In conclusion-I performed on stage with the shaker with a band named Widows Hill. I played drums and sang a song called fudge packer about cars tailgating me. We played at bars around south Tucson. They were called The Hugger Whales. I sang and played shaker at many open mics around town. Plus I had a couple gigs that were fun. In college, I gave speeches about social issues, such as substance abuse. I gave plenty of speeches about my head injury. I was part of the advocacy group, in which we would go out into the community and give speeches about our head injuries. Thank you for reading.
What are your favorite physical activities or exercises?
Introduction- in this blog, I will discuss my favorite physical activities or exercises.
I used to go to the Platinum gym to work out about three times a week. Then here comes bad ole COVID-19 and the gym closed down. There is another one but it is too far. I have not been to the gym since 2020.
When, I went to the gym my favorite exercises were chest machines, such as the Peck fly and the chest press. I also liked the stair climber, treadmill and the Olimpical. I miss working out my bi-cep with the bi-cep curl, that was fun. Also, dumbbells were great.
In conclusion-I used to go to the gym back before COVID-19 closed down my gym. My favorite exercises at the time, were the Peck fly, Chest press machine. What is something others do that sparks your admiration?
Introduction- in this blog I will discuss something others do that sparks my admiration.
Since, the age of 12 I started drumming. I would come home from school and put on a record of Led Zeppelin and start practicing drumming with the drummer of Led Zeppelin, the great John Bonham. I would play my heart out practicing drumming with John Bonham.
Then I went to the river with the idiot cousin in Ariavipa on December 31st a long time ago and received a bullet to my head.
The injury left me with my left arm paralyzed and my left leg gimpy and, also my left eye seeing double. I also have memory issues.
Through all of this I still enjoy playing the drum set with my right arm (one arm) and my right foot (one foot or leg). It is great fun playing drums and singing lyrics I wrote.
What I admire about others is that they can use both arms and legs to drum. I wish the cousin would not have shot me in the head so I could have been a great drummer like John Bonham.
I know there is a drummer who uses one arm to drum and he is excellent. His name is Rick Allen. He drums with Def Leopard. He is awesome. I admire him too for not giving up on the drums; even though he has one arm to drum with.
In conclusion-the thing I admire about others is that they can use both arms and legs to drum. I only use one arm to drum. I also admire Rick Allen from Def Leopard because he also drums with one arm and he is awesome. Thank you for reading.
Introduction- today I will discuss my favorite cartoon with you. Cartoons can be for children or adults. They can make us laugh or be serious.
My favorite cartoon is Family guy. It is about the Griffins, which consist of Peter,Lois, and their children Chris, and Meg. Also, their youngest son Stewie , who is very inventive and is a genius for his age. He is a baby. Then you have Brain the talking family dog who is usually Stewie’s sidekick. The family is dysfunctional at its finest. It is funny when Peter goes to Brain the dog for advice. Then it gets more complicated because Brain dates human women and his biggest crush is Lois. So all the roles of different characters are all messed up, which makes the show somehow interesting.
The show plays off all these characters including, Quagmire the ladies man. Joe the cop in a wheelchair and Cleveland another family guy. All of them are friends with Peter and they all go on adventures together.
In conclusion-Family guy is my favorite cartoon. I see it on Hulu every week. It has a pretty big following. Thank you for reading.
Introduction- in this blog I will discuss with you about what I could do less of.
During the day, I drink a lot of coffee to stay awake and alert l. I am always drinking coffee on my job doordash. The problem is that I have to use the bathroom a lot and I have to go home to use the bathroom.
Before, I could go to QT to use the bathroom, but since the drug addicts use their drugs in the bathroom. QT started locking the bathroom at 9PM because of this concern. That is why, when I have to use the bathroom I go home. Even if I am far from my home.I drive all the way home.
I need coffee, but I will attempt to drink less of the black mamba juice ie coffee.
In conclusion-coffee is what I could do less of and prevent me from always having to go to the bathroom a lot. I love coffee, just straight black that is why I call it black mamba juice because it gives me an enormous buzz. Maybe I can quit a little of my coffee craze, but not all of it because I need the starter fluid. Thank you for reading.
What positive events have taken place in your life over the past year?
Introduction- in this blog I am going to discuss some positive events that took place in my life over the past year. Many people have had positive events in the past year. I have had a few.
Moving
I finally moved out of a place I had been living in for almost a decade. It was alright I guess. I had more privacy there. I could drum freely at my old place. My new place is all right. I just cannot make too much noise here. I have to drum very quietly here. It is smaller but there is charm too. My new apartment is pricier than my old one was, but my new apartment can heat up quicker, which is fantastic for the winter. I like it here at my new apartment. It is pretty good. I have some good neighbors. So I am happy I moved here.
Job
I am very happy that I still have a job with Doordash because now I can afford to pay for the car I drive. I still have money left over to get something to eat so it is great.
Bills
I am thankful that I can pay my bills and I am not on the streets of Tucson. I am disabled so that would be a horrible place to be.
God
Another positive event is that I am closer with God and can rely on him to take care of me whenever I need him too. I pray everyday that he gives me the strength to make this life work for me the best he can.
Jetpack
Another positive thing is that I found a community of other writers like me to share my thoughts with. All of you people are awesome. Thank you for reading all my posts.
In conclusion- the positive events that have taken place in my life over the past year are moving, job, bills, God, and jetpack. Thank you again for reading.
Introduction-today I will discuss if I ever see wild animals. In the city of Tucson, there are not many wild animals roaming around, unless I go to a remote place outside the city. Such as deep west or north, but any direction just as long as it is outside the city. Or in some places, there is dessert, which I can find lizards, pumas, and coyotes.
The only kind of animal that is in Tucson City limits are birds. There are lots of birds, from pigeons, sparrows, and occasionally a red robin and of course there are mice. Birds throughout the spring and some of the summer will sing their mating songs, which is sometimes neat.
Well, one day while I was on a run for doordash, way out west at an apartment for students. I saw a group of wild boars or javalinas. It was so cool. They were just standing there in their pack. I did not want to startle them so I left the area quickly.
In conclusion- the wild animals I usually see are lots of birds in the Tucson city limits. On the outskirts of Tucson out west I saw wild boars, which was cool. Thank you for reading.
