What activities do you lose yourself in?

In this blog, I will explain what activities I lose myself in. It is very easy for some of us to lose ourselves in certain activities, such as being outside in nature. This is a big one for me. Just laying on the grass at a park at night, staring up at the sky, looking at the moon. I always lose myself in that moment.

Also, listening to music, such as Nutshell by Alice in chains or Give up by Lincoln Park. Also, I lose myself when I listen to 2pac Does Heaven gotta ghetto. Those songs touch my soul very deeply and I lose it.

Also, when I drum and sing a song I wrote. I also lose it. I can’t really hit my drums that hard because I am in an apartment, but I still lose it very much. When I write lyrics I am lost in the moment and sometimes I can picture a band playing the lyric I wrote.

Writing on Jetpack also makes me lose it because I can escape from my hectic life of being disabled (shot in the head) and just focus on writing for the moment and think of pleasant things in writing.

In conclusion being in nature, listening to music, drumming and singing, writing lyrics, and finally writing on Jetpack, all make me lose it. Thank you for reading.

Desperado

What movies or TV series have you watched more than 5 times?

In this blog, I will discuss what movies or TV series I have watched more than 5 times.

The movie is a classic with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hyak. It is definitely an adrenaline movie.

This is one of Antonio Banderas’s best movies. It is definitely packed with action.

Another movie is Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. The movie is hilarious.

This movie will have you rolling on the floor. It is that funny. I have watched it probably more than five times and I still laugh at it.

In conclusion- I rarely watch a movie more than five times, but Desperado and Planes, Trains, and Automobiles I have watched numerous times. There are more such as Shaft with Samuel Jackson and Eight heads in a Duffle bag with Joe Pechi. This movie is hilarious also. These movies are truly great. Thank you for reading.

In this blog, I will discuss if I am superstitious. The answer is no. Superstitious refers to having a belief in the supernatural, which are irrational beliefs often around supernatural forces or events.

I don’t avoid stepping on cracks in the sidewalk because it will bring me bad luck or injury. I don’t carry a lucky charm or a talisman for protection or good fortune. I don’t avoid walking under ladders because it is to be known that it causes bad luck.

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?

In this blog, I would compare myself to a tortoise because they are slow like me and they are smart because they live to be old age. That is, if nothing eats them. They also like the same kinds of foods I like, such as lettuce, tomatoes, and even carrots. Thank you for reading.

Write a letter to your 100-year-old self.

In this blog, I will write a letter to my 100-year-old self. I am very skeptical that I will live to be a hundred years old. Yet, if I do I will put the blame on one thing. I am a great lover of the salad. I eat one or two a day if possible.

This is just one example of the salads I eat.

Dear Self, Mr. Shot

I guess those salads that you have been eating all your life have really paid off. Now, you are a hundred. I hope you haven’t stopped drumming and singing and also writing because they are your passion. Wherever you are today, I hope you are happy and for the most part healthy as possible. I hope you have long retired and live it up somewhere on a beach. Or one is not that far from you. I hope you have loved ones and friends around you. I hope you have made amends with the cousin who shot you in the head and you are at peace now.

I hope science has come a long way and you are able to use your left arm and the gimp is fixed. I hope you went back to the gym at sixty or seventy so you do not have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. You have come a long way and all I ask is I hope you are happy with your life. Looking back at all those moments and reflecting on them. Sure you made mistakes but hopefully they have gotten ironed out for the most part. Remember, to strive to be happy and healthy.

Where would you go on a shopping spree?

In the realm of all the places I would love to go on a shopping spree. If money was not an object. I would like to go to Bed Buy because they have cool items, such as stereo systems and TVS and gaming units such as play stations. That would be cool to own.

Since, I am on a budget. I would probably go to Super Walmart because there I can get electronics such as TVS and stereo systems at a cheaper price. Plus at Super Walmart, they also have food there. So, I would want to get apples, pears, and bananas. Also some salad fixings such as Romaine, carrots, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, kale and tomatoes.

Maybe fix something like what is in this picture again because it was good.

In conclusion, I would do a shopping spree at Super Walmart because I can get electronics and food there plus a whole lot more such as clothing. Thank you for reading.

Middle name

What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?

My middle name is Joseph. It means in Hebrew he will add, or God will increase. The name has biblical meaning. Joseph was the husband of Mary and the father of Jesus the son of God.

Joseph was also my real father’s name. So I will always remember him by remembering my middle name is his name. Sadly, my real father Joseph passed away, but he is with me in spirit. Thank you for reading.

Learning is everyday

What is the last thing you learned?

In this blog, I will discuss what I learned last. I learn things everyday, but my memory is so bad that I forget what I learn because of the traumatic brain injury or being shot in the head.

One of the things I learned, is the older I get, the faster time flies. Man days, feel like hours, and hours feel like minutes. It was just last Saturday, but now it is all ready Thursday and going on Friday and Saturday.

When I was a child, time went very slowly. School days were long. Days were longer. Now, days go by so quickly that if I don’t stop and enjoy them. They are gone.

In conclusion time flies so my friends on here take a moment to enjoy what you have, while it lasts. Thank you for reading.

The one ridiculous question?

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

I will explain what one question I hate to be asked. There are lots of ridiculous questions people ask. The most hated question I hate to explain is.

When people ask me what happened to me? Then I tell them I was shot in the head. Then they look puzzled because they do not understand how come. I walk with a gimp and my left arm does not function. Then, I have to explain to them that the brain controls everything, your arms, legs, everything. Then, they understand for the most part. Thank you for reading.

Failure to later success!

How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?

In this blog, I will discuss how failure later set me up for success. As, a lot of people know, I am disabled and in America it is hard to find a job if you are disabled (shot in the head). Well I received my degree in Social work and once I graduated I thought I would have an easier time getting a job, but I was wrong. I kept on getting denial letters. I received like 17 denial letters stating that they were sorry, but I didn’t get the job.

A little bit later, I met this guy at the gym I used to go to and he told me about an opportunity at Tucson Unified School District as a teacher’s aide. I filled out an application, interviewed for the job and was hired. I spent seven years there and quit because of a coworker not treating me right.

I work at Doordash now and I am happier because I can work when I want and basically I am my own boss. Thank you for reading.
