Books I would like to read, are a lot, if I was a faster reader. Due to the injury (shot in the head), I don’t read fast because my left eye doesn’t go across words as fast, but with practice, it is getting better.

First off, I would like to finish “Around the next corner,”  by Elizabeth Wrenn, before not too long. With work, I don’t get a lot of time to read, but a few pages here and there. I should be done with this book by summer. It is about a woman, Deena who is a stay at home mom, whose husband works at a clinic and their two kids go to school. I think high school. Well, Deena has a cat she has roaming around the house. One day she gets a fantastic idea to get a dog. Now this dog is not your normal dog. She gets the dog from some sort of special club. The man who gave her the dog, needs the dog back in a year because it is going to be a blind seeing dog, so she has to train the dog from a puppy to listen to commands and be proper as a blind seeing dog. I am in the middle of the book, so we will see where it goes.

After I am finished with that book, I would like to read “Point Omega,” by Don Delillo. I read a few pages and I guess it is about this guy who wants to make a movie out of another man’s life. It seems interesting. I will let you know about it. Thank you for reading.

Typical traditions

Like most Hispanic families we made menudo and tacos on Christmas and ate beans and tortillas whenever it was possible. My mom made tamales and tortillas and also enchiladas. She also made antipasta salad for the family.

Besides that, my parents worked a lot so we were latchkey kids. That means, when we got home from school there was not anyone home. We were forced to survive on our own. My parents would come home late or sometimes stay in other cities because they were promoters of concerts, such as Kool and the gang, Midnight Star, Zapp, and Rick James and other groups. So they would work on doing concerts with the bands above. It was fun to go see the concerts, especially if they were here in Southern Arizona.

We had traditions no different from other American families. We celebrated thanksgiving and Christmas like the rest of the people in the country. We would celebrate birthdays. One year, for my tenth birthday we had invited Gary the Dj over so he could play music, while all the kids, including me would break dance on a piece of cardboard. It was a great time. Besides that, we were typical, except my parents didn’t put us in extra curriculum activities, such as sports, but in Jr. High school. I was in band and was a percussionist. I played a bass drum and a snare drum. This is where I developed my love of music. Thank you for reading.

Leisure time isn’t what it used to be-

These days, I have to schedule time for myself, because throughout the week I am always on Doordash. So time to myself is important, whether it is sleeping or writing, or playing music quietly. Whatever I do in my free time, it is important for my mental health.

I think everyone should have time during the day to do something they enjoy, such as gardening, writing, or whatever you do in your free time, make sure you enjoy the time with yourself.

My favorite leisure time activity is playing music, but I also enjoy writing on Jetpack and writing lyrics. Thank you for reading.

Places to go!

One place I would like to go is Dave & Busters to play arcade games. I would like to play skee ball, Lost world ie Juristic Park game, where I could shoot a gun at a Tyransauris Rex. I would have to aim the gun at the Tyransauris Rex’s mouth, or stomach to kill it. It is hard to kill. I have heard. I could win tickets for prizes, such as bears, monkeys, or hippoes. I could go there and eat pizza, wings, and enjoy the music and the lights. Maybe even go there and play Pac Man or Galaga. It all sounds fun. Well first bills then think about going to Dave & Busters. Thank you for reading.

Somewhere under the brightly lit moon Dave & Busters exists.

Five things I do for fun-

  1. Play music- especially the shaker and sing and the drum set too. This is pure enjoyment.
  2. I write lyrics. This is how I get the lyrics that I sing. I write them out over and over. I also love to write on Jetpack.
  3. I love to hang out with my sister. She is cool. We eat together and talk to one another.
  4. I love to sleep, sleeping is great.
  5. I love to eat salads.
  6. Thank you for reading.

Darcy is my pet!

She is the best pet. She doesn’t bite anyone or make noise unless I play her. She is there at my apartment, waiting for me to play her. One thing I would like her to know is that; even though I can’t hit her directly because I live in an apartment. I would love to play her fully, one of these days. She is the best pet. She will not poop on the ground. She is always up to playing. She is my lovely drum set. Thank you for reading.

Similar to a question I answered last year.

So I am going to tell you about how I received the name Shakerman. A long time ago I went into this bar called Sky Bar on Fourth Avenue. I went there to attend an open mic, which is a good way to have an audience listen to my music and no pressure. It is only a little sample of what I do. I can only perform for like fifteen minutes, so it is not that long. Maybe three lyrics or songs at best. I don’t get paid for the open mic, but in the future if I want a gig. It is a good idea to first go to open mics, to build a fan base and see if anyone likes what I do.

Well, one night I was performing, playing the shaker and singing/screaming and I had the name pop in my head, “Shakerman” because I play the shaker and sing/scream. So, from there on, I was known as Shakerman. This is the Shaker I used.

This shaker has seen it all. It is the oldest shaker I own. It is light weight so it isn’t that heavy and it provides a nice sound. Thank you for reading.

Dream job won’t hurt to try-

Everyday, I write lyrics and play drums or the shaker and I sing a little. It may be in my head, but it still counts as singing. As long as the words form in my head, it should be substantial. I cannot belt out clever lyric because I live in an apartment and I don’t want to disturb my neighbors.

I have always wanted to be a musician. I love playing music, playing drums, singing, and playing shakers. They are all fun to do. Now, if I could get paid for this, this would be the ultimate job for me. They say follow your passion. So there it is in a nutshell, a musician.

Somewhere under the moon is my dream job of being a musician. Thank you for reading

Hopeful for the leader

A good leader has the confidence to lead. He is organized, a great public speaker. She has worked in a lot of different positions in the organization. Then, they move her in the position of leadership after some time doing the grunt work. She is responsible, reliable, and very outgoing and outspoken. She is a little bossy to get things done in the organization. She empathizes well and practices what she speaks. She is not a hypocrite. She is nice to a point, but don’t push her because she knows when to use her authority. She knows when to get to work and when it is appropriate to play. She has good judgement and makes sound decisions. Thank you for reading.

Uninvite the killing field of all things!

If I could uninvent something, it would be the gun or pistol because a lot of people die or get hurt because of the pistol. There are countless deaths because people wanted to be right. They get in arguments with people and shoot someone because they disagree with them. So hand guns kill many people annually.

I received the bullet in the head from a pistol. A 22 magnum gun, pistol with a 22. Caliber bullet. So if hand guns were not invented I would not have gotten shot in the head.

See pistols are easier to hold all you do is point them with one hand or sometimes two, if they kick back and press the trigger and wham, you shoot. They are much more convenient than a rifle, where you have to hold it with both hands, or arms and press the rifle against your shoulder, so it doesn’t kick, well it depends on the caliber of rifle. Sure, I could have been shot with a rifle, but I probably was standing very close to him when he shot me in the head. So if he would have pointed the rifle at me. I probably would have gotten out of the way hopefully.

In conclusion-I would uninvent the pistol because many people die, or get hurt annually because of it. Thank you for reading.
