Topics to discuss

What topics do you like to discuss?

In this blog, I will discuss what topics I like to talk about. There are many great topics to discuss in life some of my favorite topics are.

Food

These were awesome dishes with salad and pizza Two different days of course, but they were yummy.

Food is a huge topic for me to discuss. I like to talk about different salad ingredients, such as spices and leafy vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower, and a host of different ingredients.

Inflation

This is a huge deal in my circle of friends because everything is going up, such as groceries, gas, rent, utilities. It is insane. How much things have gone up, even at Walmart, but some things at Walmart are cheaper than other places, such as Whole Foods. Whole Foods is great though, if you catch a sale.

Wars

The war in Israel and Palestine and the students all over the US protesting the war. The poor people in the middle of that war. I feel sorry for all of them. If Israel continues to bomb Gaza they will commit genocide, which is terrible. Hopefully the war begins talks for a truce.

Also the war in Ukraine and Russia, where the Russians are attacking the Ukrainians. It is awful also. If, the US is not careful, we could go to war with Russia and that would not be good. Hopefully a peaceful truce can be discussed in that war also.

Music

My friends and I discuss music a lot of the time, either making music or performing music at different bars and clubs. Or talking about Kurt Cobain (lead singer of Nirvana) or Chester Bennington (lead singer of Lincoln Park) and how come they had to commit suicide and they were so talented. Yes, depression is real and takes a lot of lives. Then, you got drug abuse which claims lives too. Put them together, you get something leathol. I still am sad that they are gone. Heaven only knows what kind of music they would have put out if they did not commit suicide.

In conclusion- I talk about food, inflation, wars, and music. Thank you for reading.

My apartment what a mess

When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?

About a year ago, I moved into this apartment and took a risk. At first, it was cool up until the beginning of the week. My apartment became flooded with water.

It was awful, but today most of the water is gone. I will cross my toes so that I don’t have anymore water flooding problems. I complained a lot about it.

Yet there were other apartments in the complex going through the same thing. So I didn’t feel alone. It all started in the bathroom in the laundry room. It got backed up then it spread to other apartments, including mine. Thank God it is over for the most part thanks to some plumbers coming out and fixing the concern. Hopefully today they fix the rest of the problem so we can go back to not walking into flooded areas anymore in our apartments.

I mean it was very hard. This morning, I woke up to my whole apartment flooded. There was water everywhere, but now for the most part the water is gone. Yes!! Thank you for reading.

Work and pay the car

Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.

I will discuss a risk I took that I don’t regret. Well many people work jobs and take risks to work that job. I took the risk of working with Doordash and so far so good. It helps me pay for the car I drive and also going to the store or going out to eat at Papa John’s or Domino’s. It is quite good.

With the Doordash card, I get paid after working a run (the process of getting the food or other items to the customer). It is quite good.  So that is the risk I took. Thank you for reading.

Plumbing problems

Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

When my sister told me the toilet was leaking and now the toilet is really leaking. The water is all ready in the living room from the bathroom. I have called the maintenance man. I am waiting now on him.

I wish I had listened to my sister about the toilet leaking. It would have saved me a lot of grief and some of my stuff is probably ruined. This sucks 😭😭.

Things going up in prices!

What makes you nervous?

What makes me nervous? Gas, food, rents, utilities, all going up thanks to inflation. Joe Biden is saying everyone has a job, but not a job to keep up with inflation. I need two jobs to keep up with inflation. My regular job and a side hustle. I don’t have a regular job, but I will soon look into it because inflation is making me nervous. If, Joe Biden wins reelection then inflation will go through the roof.

The concern with oil is that Joe Biden shut down the pipe line which was filtering oil from Canada to somewhere in Texas. All because the oil was filtering into the Native American’s drinking water. There had to be a better way to manage that pipeline so it could stay open and gas would not be so expensive. When gas goes up everything else goes up because the goods have to be transported by diesel trucks. Also it could be basic economics demand and supply. But, shutting down the pipeline was not good. This is what makes me nervous. Thank you for reading.

Demanding day

How do you unwind after a demanding day?

In this blog, I will discuss how I unwind after a demanding day. Lots of people do different things after they have a demanding day. After I have a demanding day at work.

I usually come home and eat a salad because maybe I need some nourishment to get my spirits up. Then, if I am still mad and frustrated from the demanding day. I will drum because hitting drums always cheers me up and maybe I will sing a song I wrote.

Then, I read the news on the Internet. If I still need to unwind I will take a shower. Then, I eat a banana because of the tryptophan, which then I go to sleep. Then I am really chilled. Thank you for reading.

Social media

How do you use social media?

In this blog, I will discuss how I use social media. Everyone is busy these days. So it is good we still have a way to see if everyone  in our life, is doing well or poorly. It is called social media Facebook or a number of other sites.

I mainly use Facebook and Instagram. I usually just read others posts and view their pictures and profiles. I will post some funny things sometime or if I am in the mood, I will post a song or lyric. I mainly go on Facebook to see what friends and family are up to. I use Instagram in the same way sometimes.

I have an account on Snapchat, YouTube and Tictoc, but I haven’t posted anything in a long time.

Jetpack is usually the site I post regularly on. I like writing about the different topics that they provide on Jetpack. Some of the questions make me think, which is good. Well that’s it in a nutshell. Thank you for reading.

A salad

This salad was so good.

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

This salad had romaine, tomatoes, mini brussel sprouts, purple cabbage, black pepper, lemon seasoning, garlic salt, red pepper flakes, and hot cayenne dressing. This was a great salad for dinner.

In conclusion-the first thing that came to my mind was a salad. Thank you for reading.

Random act of kindness

Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.

In this blog, I will describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to me. There are many, such as holding the door open for me to walk in a store. Or, when, I am at the store and I am only going to buy one item and the person lets me go first because they have many items to buy.

When I am doing Doordash and  I cannot find an address. Then, a stranger points out where an address is and they are correct.

These little acts of kindness are very positive and stick out in my mind as I write this blog. Thank you for reading.

Taking for the taking

Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

In this blog, I will discuss a decision I made in the past that helped me learn or grow. A decision I made to work and learn to handle my own money and be able to support myself without anybody else trying to control my money.

I am disabled so having a payee (person who controls my money) is a reality for me, but with money management skills and trying to keep my head above water with debt. I have managed to acquire some debt, but hopefully I am able to pay it off one of these days.

I have made mistakes and for them I need to work a little harder so I can put more money towards my debt, before it gets really big and costs a lot more money.

In conclusion- the decision I made is to work and learn to handle my own money, so I can be self sufficient and not have to get a payee. Thank you for reading.
